Proposal at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens

If there’s one thing that I love as a Kentucky wedding photographer, it’s the thrill of capturing raw, authentic emotions, and the surprise proposal of Drew and Kelsie at the enchanting Yew Dell Botanical Gardens in Crestwood, KY.

Drew, a doctor wanted to plan the perfect proposal. The stage? A fictional radiology banquet at the Yew Dell Botanical Gardens – a tale spun by Drew to keep the surprise intact.

Drew and Kelsie, strolling through the Secret Garden, their love echoing through the holly tree tunnel. In that moment, Drew dropped to one knee and asked the life-changing question to Kelsie. Overwhelmed with joy, Kelsie was so nervous she didn’t even know which hand the ring went on! The answer, though, was a resounding, tear-filled ‘yes’!

But the surprises weren’t over just yet. To add more magic to this unforgettable day, I guided the newly engaged couple to Kelsie’s favorite spot, the mystical Fairy Forest. As I posed them for what they thought was an engagement session, both of their families emerged from their hiding spots in the forest, adding another layer of surprise to this beautifully orchestrated event.
